What the Gods and Goddesses have to say? Hear them out

god and goddess1Zeus is the sky and thunder god in ancient Greek mythology who ruled as king of the gods of Mount Olympus.

Zeus sat on his throne in a subdued mood. His meeting with the rest of the Gods that took place last week hadn’t gone as per his plan.

Once upon a time, all the gods used to be eager to be invited to Zeus’s court. It was a matter of high stature to be counted among his guest list. Not to forget he was the king of the Gods.

god and goddessBut things aren’t the same anymore”, sighed Zeus as he recalled his good old days.

All the Gods had arrived by now and have taken their places  for the round table conference. Looks like something of great concern is about to be discussed.

Alas ! As the meeting progressed, half of the Gods slowly moved towards the emergency room.

“Having a castle so high up in the sky has too many disadvantages these day, exclaimed one of them. “I thought at least we Gods would be spared from these polluted gases” remarked Zeus as he set aside the complementary inhalers gifted to all the gods by the Heaven’s Health Department.

god and goddess2Gaia is the personification of Earth and the ancestral mother of all life. The prime Mother Earth goddess in Greek mythology.

Mother of Living Things, Sustainer of Life, Gaia lay on the bed, feeble and unmoving.

A cold cloth is placed on her head to try and reduce her fever.

god and goddess3Her lady in waiting sits in the corner anxiously. It is her job to replace the cloth with a fresh one every fifteen minutes.

Lately her mistress had been obsessed with just getting her temperature checked. It was like telling a child that Christmas had been cancelled.

Every time she checked her temperature, it only seemed to increase with no signs of reduction

The timer rings and the towel is changed after each sound of the timer.

With a frail sigh, Gaia once again asks for her temperature to be checked.

god and goddess4Artemis was the Hellenic goddess of the hunt, wild animals, wilderness, and protector of young girls; she often was depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and arrows.

“What happened to this place? Why is it so dead?”, snaps Artemis.

She had promised her hunter friends beautiful creatures on Earth.

“It’s been a long while since you were here, ma’am. Things have changed” replies the guard calmly.

god and goddess5“Have there been other hunters? How is that possible? I’m known for hunting. How could they have done so much in such little time?” exclaimed Artemis in bewilderment.

“Ma’am, they’ve found a better way.  Though that’s a pure sin and a diabolical act, but still its quite an innovative way of reducing fauna from this earth.”

“That’s impossible. I’ve been practicing an art for centuries now. Tell me how it was done.”

“It’s very simple, ma’am. Just destroy the houses of animals and make huge buildings in forests and farm lands. In fact, the humans have named this art as “development”. They feel that they  live on this planet as if they had another one to go to in future.
